Identify the actual product class
A provider name alone does not describe the circuit. Confirm whether an offer is shared broadband, fiber-based broadband, dedicated internet access, wireless, or another service. Each can differ in architecture, support, addressing, and commitments.

- Confirm upload and download characteristics
- Ask who manages the gateway or router

Evaluate the complete offer
Do not compare offers using advertised speed alone. Review install assumptions, equipment, IP addressing, support paths, service commitments, term, renewal language, early termination, and any construction exposure.
